Neat! – Crescat Scientia

This is the academic webpage of Dr. Anthony J. Geneva. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology and the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at Rutgers University. I received my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Rochester and did my postdoctoral training in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. I use computational evolutionary genetics to study the role of hybridization and introgression in speciation and adaptation. I also develop phylogenetic and population genomic methods when needed. I mostly study lizards but interesting questions and data have drawn me to other taxa including fruit flies and freshwater mussels. The title of this site loosely translates to “let knowledge grow”. In that spirit, my goal here is to present my work and to aggregate information on the topics that interest me.
